Hello There!

Selected moments.

Our work is meaningful because it is difficult and consequential — not because it is glamorous.

MyrLabs is built around the belief that innovation should not be timid steps, but deliberate moves toward outcomes that matter. Anyone can build an incrementally better product, but building solutions that fundamentally change what is possible in the real world is harder. It requires intuition, the ability to connect different ways of thinking, and the willingness to explore unfamiliar territory where results must ultimately hold up. This kind of work is not for everyone, but it is deeply meaningful and fulfilling.

Exciting challenges lie ahead for us. New problems to solve, technologies to develop, and complex organizations to work with. We are backed by investors and partners who believe in our direction, and we are deliberately growing our team.

We recruit, not hire

Getting into MyrLabs is not easy. We choose our teammates carefully. To us, applicants are not interchangeable roles to be filled, but individuals with the potential to strengthen the company in distinctive ways. We invest significant effort in understanding how candidates think, how they approach problems, and how they take responsibility for outcomes. Once someone joins us, we invest even more effort in creating opportunities for them to grow and reach their full potential.

For students, the most effective way to work with us is through an internship or school project. When we are interested in a proposal, we typically support it with real use cases, funding, equipment, and relevant interactions with our partners.

Working at MyrLabs

Working at MyrLabs is like going through a PhD programme where the thesis is a commercial product and the defence committee is the market.

The primary source of pressure comes from the constant need to re-evaluate assumptions about how things ought to work under real conditions. We bias toward outcomes that create next practices rather than reproducing established best practices. We focus our energy on problems where first-principles thinking, original synthesis, and real-world validation matter. We value work that creates new capabilities, not just marginal improvements, and we place strong emphasis on aggressive knowledge gathering, creative formulation, and vigorous exploration of new application areas.

Succeeding at MyrLabs requires developing the right mindsets rather than fitting into a pre-defined mould. For many, this is a difficult adjustment. If you thrive on excellence, candour, and constant change, you may find this environment deeply rewarding. If not, it will likely feel uncomfortable -- and that is by design.

What are we looking for?

The majority of our roles are engineering positions. Applicants with relevant qualifications in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or Robotics are typically a good fit. We are also keen on candidates who can demonstrate exceptional ability through prior work, projects, or experience.

Strong communication skills are a critical requirement for all positions. This applies not only to technical discussions, but also to day-to-day collaboration within the company. Applicants who are not native English speakers must achieve a minimum score of 7.0 for IELTS or 90 for TOEFL.

Foreign applicants must also graduate from an institution recognised by the Ministry of Manpower, or from institutions of comparable and equivalent standards.

Navigating the interview process

We aim to be expeditious when scheduling interviews. The process from application to offer is typically completed within one week.

If you are invited for an interview and require financial support, we may reimburse costs related to childcare or adult care for dependents, loss of hourly pay, translation services for candidates who are deaf or hard of hearing, or transportation costs for candidates with physical disabilities.

Early in the process, we may ask candidates to complete a short personality assessment such as the MBTI. We are aware of its limitations and do not use the results as a selection criterion. It serves only as a preliminary tool to help us better understand how you may approach work and collaboration.

Next, you will be invited to a lunch or dinner with at least two members of the team. This is an opportunity for us to understand your experiences and expertise, and to share our management philosophy and expectations. The meal is on us. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary requirements.

If there is strong mutual alignment, you will then be invited for a behavioural interview. This session can last three to four hours and involves a structured series of questions designed to surface how you naturally approach complex situations. It helps us understand your strengths, your growth areas, and how you respond under pressure.

At the conclusion of this interview, we will make an offer of employment. For those who join us, the work is demanding -- but the opportunity to build things that genuinely matter, and must stand up in the real world, is real.
